A note from the road

Hi, I’m Ondrej.

I write quick, budget-minded travel guides for the moment your plane lands and you still have no plan.

I’ve spent enough time arriving somewhere unprepared to know what is actually useful: where to go first, how to get into town, what is worth paying for, and where the city feels most like itself.

Why this blog exists

Useful before it gets beautiful.

There was no time to prepare, the plane had landed, airplane mode was off, and I was searching for what to visit and how to get from the airport to the city centre.

So I started collecting the answers I wished I had found sooner. These guides are short enough to read before a trip, but personal enough to tell you what a generic list leaves out.

I’m still finishing university, so many of my trips have been made on a very limited budget. That’s where the name of this site comes from — and why I tend to travel light: if I want to see more, I have to play it smart.
